How can I improve collegecolosseum.com?
We launched our site about a month ago and have been trying to gain users. I would like the advice of everyone here on how we can improve the site (design or content) and how we can grow our community. Thanks. sorry I don't have enough posts to make a link but it is collegecolosseum dot com |

1. What did you use to build the site. I assume some WYSIWYG editor due to the 'style1, style2, etc'. So first... learn how to hand code, if nothing else to be able to clean up the code the WYSIWYG editor code, cause typically it's gnarly code. 2. Color theory. Yes, blue and yellow go together but they seem to be fighting for dominance on the page. Tone them down a bit. 3. Forum. Doesn't match the site and as there are no posts for the half million categories it seems like a huge vast of nothing. The concept as a hole seems a bit, well... not completely thought out. It would make more sense for people to have to sign up and say what school they are in, and then based on that the site should show what is most important to that school. I see what you are trying to do, but I think you might need to rethink the overall plan. Like most new sites you are also lacking content. This is something where you will have to put in content before anyone knows you are around. Content is king in this SEO world, and you have none. |
