Currently on a temp host (you have to copy and paste into browser): 82.110.105.26/ilocker.co.uk/

You can see the old design from the portfolio section.

how do.

a few comments

- it sits very low on my screen

- i find the handwriting script font hard to read in the home page... does that say portfolio?? if so i can't make out any letter 't'? And it's been kerned so the once 'joined up' letters have some jarring gappy bits.

- the drawings give the site a lovely settled feel. like em.

- find the grey tone you have chosen a bit boring. perhaps just a slight few percent hint of a colour to grey?

- the cheetah in your logo is a bit too small to make out

- be nicer if the drawing finished natuarally around your layout (like home page pic) - rather than been faded out (like portfolio page pic)

Thanks for the reply.

- I am going to make it centred in the screen, but the problem is that I can't find a script to do that in IE7. I have one that works in all the other browsers just not IE7.

- Lol, that's because I have misspelt portfolio, l will change that and the kerning too so that its joined.

- Thanks, i thought so too

- Can you expand on what you mean by this?

suppose if it was a more slate grey - with a touch of blue. #BBCCCC

slightly pinky tone #CCC2CC

or a slightly brown sepia tone. #C9C3B6

this might be because our old site was grey.. and i grew to hate it over the years. so ignore if you like your grey!

- I didn't know where else I could put this to be honest as I thought without it the navigation looks a bit dull.

- Yeah I am actually going to do this, I am in the process of actually doing my own drawings as currently the ones on the website are ones from the internet. So I am going to do my own and will be doing something like that.

Home Page:
The Valid XHTML, Valid CSS should link to the actual validation pages.
I count 4, maybe 5 different fonts used on that home page alone. That should be 2, MAYBE 3. Less is more.

Portfolio:
Says click to view design. But click takes me to the site. As a portfolio site I would prefer it show me an image of the design with some notes from you regarding the project.

I am not sure about the color changes between pages. Out of all the colors I prefer the pink, as it goes best with the gray.

Also, how many clients will know what bespoke is??? I would explain the term, or omit it completely.

Fair point on the linking - will do so.

I suppose I could cut out one of the fonts I suppose, but i don't see the point.

Fair point about the portfolio page - I will look into this.

The colour changes are to add a little spice, without them it looks rather dull.

lol...I am crap at writing generally so I thought if i put a fancy word in, it would look better. I think i have kinda explained it in the next section anyways.

The contrast between the super dark background + navigation bar, and hte white content area hurts my eyes. I also think you've gone a bit nuts with the bold bits of text. There's too much so it just makes it annoying to read.

Other than that it looks nice and clean which I always like.

I'm starting to agree with you on this, I think I may change it to a slightly lighter grey. I have also noticed it looks slightly different shades of greys on different screens - might be something to do with the contrast settings.

Strange, other people said the bold was ok.
