Web page rough

I'm no web design supremo!

I am in the early stages of designing this charity website. doing this will hopefully polish skills a little.

This is a wee layout rough. thought I would post at this stage to see if I'm missing anything important!

Very interested in accessibility and usability - but also want a nice fun, approachable and light hearted look to the site.

thanks folks.

Lorem Ipsum - All the facts - Lipsum generator to generate dummy text.

I like how it starts, if you're going to keep it all grean, it's probably not going to look to good. Throw some colour, illustrations in, etc.

It made me think of ReductoStart. in terms of box treatment. Which is not bad Wirh a tad more work I think it will look good.

Hi emilpaun

I tend to block text with gray lines early roughs... just works for me! it's the same way I draw layouts in my sketchbook - my brain is programmed that way. The latin junk comes in at a later visual stage - usually when the visual gets rough coded in dreamweaver.

gray boxes are sheduled for images too. note taken on colour!

this rough is not intended for client presentation. just to work out layout and look/feel.

I'm with emil on this one - needs another colour + you'd get a much better idea of layout using filler text.

Over all it's looking good.

Green + (dark)red or orange looks good imo

Maybe lighten up the content parts and use dark text on light background..

Ah. If I go with light colour panels with dark text i loose the way panels overlap into the white header. Which I'm currently rather liking!

You could try adding in some yellow there to spice it up. You know the sort of very slightly orange yellow. Would look nice.

find 2142 far too complicated for quick killing fun! It's very very good though.

This site is useful for deciding on colour combinations.

Complete Color Matching Guide | E Logo Design

EDIT: By the way, the site is really starting to look good with text and images added.
