4 new ads. quick conceptual/design thoughts?

I'm not neccessarily looking for tedious nitpicking here. (otherwise i would have made 4 separate threads). Just would like your quick opinions regarding the concept and/or the design on each ad.

( I personally think the toilet paper ad is the strongest, and the glad wrap ones the weakest. )

Thanks ya'll.

The guys in the first two ads, they don't belong there.. they look weird.
I especially like the last one though

Last one I think it strongest.

Are these meant to be "real", as in something you would present to these companies or are these parody ads? They are somewhat on the dark side. I don't think the products are being presented in a way that would appeal to their target demographic.

no, they're not parody ads. i admit the glad wrap ads are pretty bad, but i actually think the toilet paper one is quite good. Both my creative directors agree.

The line that I think would have trouble is "...death by drowning". Perhaps if it were re-worded to sound more light-hearted it would fit the product better. Also, the product image is quite small. The concept if good, the design needs work IMO.

the last one is good. Art direction is not quite my bag... but the idea works well.

toilet roll ad.. the idea is fun but the copy needs hefty work to make it funnier and more relevant to job of wiping your bum. Unless im missing some humor there?

don't like the other two... perhaps if the famous folk where in their original photographed settings with new cloths retouched in - rather than cut out heads stuck on a fashion shot. might look less jarring to my eyes... but might be turd polishing!

echo that the last one is pretty solid- i like the visual with the type.

the first two- i think the concept is great- but maybe lose the historic figures and throw in a 40 something man in some club gear... i like the idea... not so much the famous faces.

I like your ideas, but it seems that first two guys can be inserted better. I mean technically ( tune the light settings and so on)

like the last two. the last one more than the third. Don't fancy the first two.

I definetly like the toilet paper one. I like the concept. the last one is good too. Im trying to understand the concept behind the glad wrap ads. They look kinda cut and paste. needs more work. But you already said those were your weakest so I wont dwell.

I don't care for it. Too much reading for too little payoff.

First two I don't get might be because I have no idea what Glad Wrap is or what is being sold to me. They look interesting but meaningless to me. Designwise I quite like the rough and raw unpolished way of how you've slapped them together, although it needs more work to make it clear you've chosen it to look rough rather than done it hastily (which you might have I dunno)

Third - unique selling point is what? You're selling a brand on the strength that you need toilet paper and it may as well be them. I suppose it isn't actually a bad way of doing it - I quite like the softer sell of "you need this product, our brand is available too" (because its nicer than a bunch of usual advertising BS about it being the god of bog roll) but I think many would disagree with doing it that way. As others have said, copywriting needs more work.

Fourth - Probably my favourite - but - bit grim nothing really draws my eye in - also not quite sure of the style itself, not every suicidal person lives in the opening credits for Se7en and yet has a quite glossy phone. It's hard to know what to look at first you could have the entire ad or a series of ads focussing in on each method - pills - razor whatever. You could go with more abstract and/or unsettling without it being dirty/grungy - think hitchcock's chocolate sauce going down the plughole (if this means nothing to you go look it up you youngun heh) I like the tone of voice in the copy, but depending on where it will be seen it might be hard to read it all and get the key lines.

blah blah blah, i write too much shit.

For the last one, I think the pink phone is really oddly placed and can be automatically assumed that its a girl thats doing the deed!
perhaps change the color or model of the phone to something "unisex" ?

I didn't notice the phone. I thought it was the huge woman's face that suggested it might be a female doing the deed.

the phone is indeed pink, as the organisation is predominately for women.
