So after some time, like i drew the first mockup about 1.5 months ago, this weekend I got the rest of the inspiration to draw the actual thing also on the computer.

Portfolio or home - mockup
About - mockup
Blog - mockup

Now it is on to implementation, probably a static html with css, and some javascript for the images to rotate in the bottom, and to make it bilingual.

What i need you is to point out if you see anything for fine tuning

Look's nice, and the Javascript will add a good dynamic touch (does those kanji mean pleasure? yukai ??)

Also, as for fine tuning I wouldn't say much except mabey instead of the text indent mabey have it flush with the box? (although I'm not a 100% sure it would work?).

edit: you cant type foreign text (it appears as ?'s)

im not realy sure about the color green tough

yes it means yukai, the name is yukaii cause domain yukai is of course taken. i have it for few years now and i've grown to like it. although noone around here actually knows why it is that..

hm maybe with the box, but i aligned it to the text so that it would be a subpart, visually the structure is more emphasied being left and under the name. well at least for me.

@microdesign
think it should be brighter? another tone, or more just a personal prefrence. i thought it looks a lot like the zen gardens or bamboo which is green/with a dash of brown, which is really only in the dot. that's why i chose this combination.

Looks alright. I think the minimal apporach can be great I am always a fan of if someone doesn't have a great deal of content to show then keep it simple.

I do think it is missing something though and I can't put my finger on it. I don't peronally like how the middle content doesn't lineup with the header and footer on the homepage but I do uderstand thats sort of intended but it makes the page a bit unblanced imo.

I think the about us looks fine but the blog I think just looks really sparse. I am not sure if you used a bit more blocked out elements maybe the page would sit better. I can't really suggest much but I think it just doesn't hang right to be called an amasing design but it does its job and thats better than 90% of the stuff out there.

Hei guys.
Just wanted to show you, I finished the portfolio and blog this week and have it finally also on the server. Damn hard to find admins during the weeks of summer

So the final version is here then: Portfolio of Peter Čuhalev also the blog looks better with actual posts in it not just with mockup.

For generating I have some scripts that generates the page out of images and description so I do not have to do everything by hand, while the blog is normal wordpress
