Hey All,

I'm trying to make a logo that will just look pretty at the top left of my website: http://www.ivancash.com The one I have now is ugly, I know.

Here are the options... Please let me know what you think; I'd really appreciate it!!! (They are attachments)

How do any of those represent what you do, your personality, etc.

A logo without reason doesn't have any value.

True, but many good, populair, professional logos don't show what they do.. Doesn't make a logo "good" or "bad" really.

my name is "ivan cash." I took my initals, plus used the "cents" sign since my last name is cash. make sense?

do you really want to come across as someone whose sole interest is cash? It may sound fun, but I would think really hard about it.

If it's you, why not go with a nice font? Why would you need a graphic symbol to define who you are? my 2 ¢

Thought Emil's was pretty fair...

What's there is an interesting play on the name, but dunno none of those styles of currency there really pop anything personality-wise would examine a lot of different money symbols and see if anything strikes you... What is it you want to come across as?

Could do some nice word play on the word Cash too, business card - cash card, cash in hand etc... invoice/comp slips - thanks for using cash...

Your name is cash - using currency in the logo is a tad obvious ya? Try going the other way, unique, creative and out there.

Because a letter C with a vertical stroke through it means "cent" to everybody in the capitalist world who sees it, I predict that you might have problems persuading people that it actually means Ivan Cash instead.

You'll notice Spielberg advertised one of his films using the letters ET instead of & for pretty much the same reason.

Using your fizzog as a logo could be quite distinctive but find a better photo than the one you're currently using. It needs simplifying a bit more too, I think.

If you did the illustration/icons better for all three then perhaps, but not really warming to it hugely, but it can be a lengthy process with dozens of iterations unless you nail it right off.
