Layout - tips please

I'm very busy lately, still trying to get my new website done, but that's very hard for me :S

Here's a quick layout I came up with today..
I want to keep it very, very simple, but effective.. tips?

Ps. the first menu item is the active page's one, the second is a normal one, the third is a hover one.. oh and, please comment the logo too

EDIT: this page may look boring, but since I haven't done my portfolio page yet, I can't post a screenshot of a less boring page.

Haven't seen you writing the word logo, but ok.. you must have meant your comment for both the logo and the layout then

Nice, but I've never liked the strike-through type ornamentation. Maybe I'm just out of touch, though.

Here's a screenshot of its current status. Better/worse?

(saved it as gif, might be bad quality)

First one for sure!
Its really easy to look at and looks simple enough to navigate.
What more do you need?

Why the hell is your line height 4 times the full height of your text?! The point I'm getting at is that each line feels individual rather than tied to the whole of a paragraph. If you want your text to feel airy try a line height of 2 instead of 4. 1.5 is optimal for fast reading speed.

Add some color and navigation, and you may have something there.

not a big fan of crossed out as visited on the menu, its not really altogether semantic. I kn ow hi-ReS do it but I don't agree with them neither.

crossed out should be used for text you want people to read but maybe its and old view or has been corrected with new information.

The first version which you "threw away" was the best. Everyone gets sick of the things they are currently working on and wants to change and add things to maintain an interest in the project but change is not always an improvement. The only distraction in the first version was the strike-through to indicate current page. The "Solix creative engine" text could be a little darker, just for the sake of balance.
