Honestly, I can't even believe what I'm seeing. This looks like a really bad CD-ROM from the early 90's. The most constructive criticism I can give you is scrap this idea and take a look at what the web actually looks like. |

Ok seriously, what is with your attitude, no one in this thread has been particularly mean, just honest. The work looks very dated, and doesn't stand up to the high level of standards that can be seen out there at the moment. There's little C&C that can be given, there really isn't much that can be salvaged from it unfortunately... There's no nice sugary way of saying that. And my work can be seen in the links in the signatures, t3amBrian's work can be seen by clicking his name and then clicking Visit t3amBrian's Website... |

And the Flash crap is totally unnecessary. People want to navigate fast. Click new page. Click new page. Not click watch this bit slide over there watch the numbers over the bar creep up to hundred opening this panel opening that panel here comes some text which I will be able to read when it finally stops. Bye bye, Florida. |

In that case, you're doing pretty good. Just keep looking and learning, try out all kinds of new ideas and you'll create your own style. Do you agree with me about the annoying time delays when you use Flash navigation? (You don't have to reply, just think about it!) Maybe in a year's time you'll be as embarrassed about how vpcomp.net looks now as you were about the posts you deleted! Cool down and join in. Lots to learn and you can have a good time doing it. |

sorry
sorry man This is my personal opinion. I love flash and I hate HTML and CSS... Why go with a boring ass plain site when you can have a movie... And as far as statistics go saying that users prefer HTML usability over Flash, it only shows with picky developers. Users actually really like flash and prefer flash over HTML anyday.... All of my clients want Flash and Flash sells! HTML is old boring and becoming the old dog as I see it. Why read a book when you can watch the movie? |

Yeah chill dude, We're all creative people here and designers are very good at giving criticism, yet not that good at receiving it but your comments were a little harsh when people are only objecting their true thoughts. TBH I agree with all the comments made so far but to be fair you do have some relatively decent flash skills, they are just totally redundant though when you have something supporting is so visually un appealing. Being only 4 months in, it isn't a bad attempt but as people have suggested there's so many inspirational web galleries out there and if you want an inspirational flash one go to thefwa.com. Don't be disheartened by the comments just take them on the chin and progress. I'd say you've got a good foundation of flash skills yet your visual creativity and typography are well? pretty much none existant and that's what you need to develop, inspiration is all around you. adios |

Oh gawd - that's totally opposite from what I've read and researched. Put it down to cultural differences. Your clients might insist on Flash as is their right and you might well think Thecustomerisalwaysright. But if you look at how your clients' customers surf the web, you'll almost certainly find that nothing pisses them off more than slow-loading animations when the only reward at the end of the wait is a m-f menu! You could make your life easier and do your clients a favor by persuading them to cut out a lot of the unnecessary Flash and use it only when it genuinely adds visual interest to something - photo galleries, for example. And why watch a movie when you can read a book? The pictures are much better! |

because its about design, I have incorporated 3D animation for the intro to the design... And I have incorporated 3D animation on the navigation on the cube itself. You can spin the cube by using the tabs on the cube. Above all, I tried to do something that is original and new... Bold and exiting and this is how you treat that? If it was truly up to you guys, I guess the web would never change....... BORING |
