Hmm ok I'm not sure what you changed in the second one other than that it has a new top nav...

Anyhow. Portfolio is spelt wrong. Here are a few other things I'd suggest just by quickly looking at the site:

- Learn CSS and XHTML. Layout with CSS and style with it - not need for the messy code that is on the site and <h1> tags with &nbsp; inbetween them.
- Get rid of the GoDaddy banner. If you are serious about it, just get some cheap hosting for $5 a month.
- not a big fan of the triple navigation on three parts of the page, but that might just be a personal thing.
- colours: really dark and don't seem to jive that well. Can you liven it up a bit?
- You are using really small body type in comparison to the headers and such. I'd bump that up a bit.

All the best!

as babydutka said: learn CSS and (X)HTML and design principles
then from theory go to practice (and still learn theory)

never mind, most of first pages look like from 90-ties
