works for me but the images should be better optimised for web, they take ages to load.

in portfolio, maybe it would be better to have the lightbox slideshow begin after clicking 'commercial art' or 'fine art' instead of clicking those links and having to click again on 'click here...'

i like your header, even though its a bit simple.
the resume page looks nice, but you should just have a background image and format the text on it with css

do something different with the footer, just play around with it

in your portfolio, i think you should display thumbnails, that when clicked on, go to lightbox and popup. then just have the left and right arrows so you can browse through them
also, for your portfolio, it should be two columns and have one labeled commercial art and the other fine art and have the thumbnails underneath them. have them in separate image sets.

the links are default blue with underline, not very original and where they are just doesnt look nice
same with the contact

also, the about page isn't fantastic.

it's a good start though

images are optimized for web! they shouldn't be taking ages to load... are you talking about the ones on the main page or the ones in the portfolio section? Either way, they're optimized for web!

for some reason the century gothic only kicks in for every page that isn't the front page.

The whole concept is good, nice and clean style, though the/your face at the left top could be improved (I mean the way it's been edited). And the footer is different at every page.

Avoid to use different layout styles on each page (in particular the portfolio page).

However, nice clean design

Dont know if this helps or if Im just blabbing usless crap but when I start designing a new site I tend to set up my fonts, headers, footers, etc.. right at the beginning to ensure they are consistant throughout the project. Just saves me doing changes later

On the website; I though it was quite nice although I didnt understand all of that scroll space on your front page and it got a little busy with all the thumbnail pics.

Oh and I didnt like the slideshow at the beginning.

Still its better than anything Ive got
Just a bit more working and it'll be fine.

My only problem is with the loading of your images and your resume page. I’m on 10mb and images are taking a while to load and your resume page goes all to heck on my computer/browser: Firefox 2.0.0.0.0. *breathes* .3 - everything on that page oversteps the right side and loads past the footer too.

I like the clean, light coloured layout though and I want one of your business cards. Send me one, please

CSS is fekkered in FF2.0 XP - content exceeds the limits of the container - you may need to specify clear:both on your content and footer...

Work is good - overall the site doesn't really do it justice... but not bad.

clean and simple layout - that is good
navigation is easy to understand and to use

but there are some things that I would change:
1)in page 'resume' text is going out of the white background (this bug I experienced using Opera and Mozilla Firefox, with IE I didn't see this bug)
2)in page 'portfolio' using IE I saw blue (default) borders around images. On rollOver nothing changed
3)images are heavy.
for example, I reduced your personal photo's size 3(!) times (from 90 KB to 30 KB) and didn't notice any distortions (of course, by looking deeply it is possible to see dull pixels but I predict that most of the visitors will only glance on photo) .
I used IrfanView for this compression.
4)and finally - why links in section 'resume' aren't clickable?

hey,

first and foremost, thanks for taking the time to review my site.

in response to what you said:
"1)in page 'resume' text is going out of the white background (this bug I experienced using Opera and Mozilla Firefox, with IE I didn't see this bug)"
-This is now fixed...

2)"in page 'portfolio' using IE I saw blue (default) borders around images. On rollOver nothing changed"
-Not sure why this was; I used IE onn my mac and I saw no such blue borders. However, I went ahead and got rid of text decoration, which should do the trick. Also, did you try clicking the images? There is a fancy shmancy slideshow...

3)I'll work on reducing the images. But really, is 90 kb going to slow somebody down?? It takes a zap milisecond to load for me, even after I've cleared cache.

4)"and finally - why links in section 'resume' aren't clickable?"
-Try Again. Maybe I was editing the page at the time. It should be up and running, including links.
