xHTML/CSS - Browser Check & General Comments Please
Hi all. My first 'real' attempt and I would appreciate feedback regarding how it looks on your various browsers... plus anything else. http://www.yorkdomains.co.uk/clients/company/ Thanks, Jon |

It looks the same in IE5.x/Win, IE6 and Mozi apart from a couple of tiny things... In WinIE5.x there isnt as much padding around the logo as on others (click for screenshot) In Mozi there's a small gap below the image in the left hand column (click for screenshot) I'd maybe have the top nav bar inline with the middle column like you have done with the bottom one. I'd also maybe make the right hand column a % width so that the middle column doesnt get as wide on larger monitors. It doesn't validate...that validate link is pointing at another page. You might want to try a more accessibile drop down menu. All just suggestions though. Looks nice. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

Your menu is a list of links, so should be a list in your code. http://alistapart.com/articles/taminglists/ http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/ |

Thanks for the feedback so far.... smallbeer Quote:
Cheers. Can't work out why, but will give it a go. Quote:
Yeah..,. this is the same on my system when viewed in Mozilla. Been unable to get rid of it. A similar thing happens in the main navigation bar too (I think), it's slightly higher than it should be. Quote:
Agreed. Looks much better, thanks. Quote:
A fair point, but I specifically wanted it to be fixed, and the middle to be large when necessary. If, when I put content in, it looks shit.. will rethink. Quote:
Doh. I added the actual url and tried again. Got rid of a few obvisou errors and two remain. Any idea why they would? Am looking into other methods of doing the drop down menu bit with lists and layers! Stickman Quote:
Yes... I tried many colour combinations. When I've finally got the code how I want it and begin creating the sections, each with have it's own specific colour scheme. Quote:
Yep, a few people have told me this. Will get it sorted. lucidcreations Thanks... glad you like the logo! oli Cheers. ANYTHING ELSE appreciated, http://www.yorkdomains.co.uk/clients/company/ Jon |
