i think i might be missing it too, i think the background is too much and i don't really get what use the page is going to have, the type would look nice against a more plain background i think blending the balance of what is supposed to draw your attention; background or content?.

i agree with upleft and dusteh. i dont like making stuff for the sake of making stuff cos it usually ends up lacking direction. maybe make a "lab" when you have a reason and then the design will follow.

yeah your right, but i use the lab as my test-webserver for the moment! this is only the temporary "welcome" site.
