The original file that was printed was actually a blue background with white diagonal lines (very small). At 600 dpi printed at 3.5" x 2" the diagonals go away, leaving the blue kind of harsh (as in, not completely blue). Funny enough, after seeing the first print, I'm going to end up going with a solid color anyway. And yes, a varnish will be very nice. I will most likely apply a UV varnish to to blue background. |

Actually it's the camera/lighting that made it look pink. The actual color is white. Quote:

Nice and clean. From a practical design thought, is there only one employee? If not... the design seems limited by the length of the name of that one person, or will the web address, email and number boxes slide to the right if there is a longer name? Not sure about applying a varnish, cards are often used for scribbling notes and numbers on, and the blue currently doesn't seem to deep to exclude doing that, just a thought. |

I too am having to decide whether or not I should add white space to write/jot down notes. And if I do end up needing that white space, I have to figure out how to lay it out so it does not feel completely different than the main design. Quote:

ok.... the card is all screwy one side has personal info but no mention of the company or anything (and no space to doodle) and all that blue, what is the point. And don't UV the blue thats just dumb. and on the other side you have your logo and a description and again all that blue... what "I" think (and this is only my opinion for what its worth) have one side for all your logo, description and personal info on white. then on the other side just have the blue and spot UV the logo onto it either multiples or once your choice you'll have to play around... your original card looks more like a poster than a business card, there are rules of communication that you should think about first, this is not ART is a communicative devise to help the cards owner to gain business or to stay in someones mind, and must be a quick read. my two sense... if you choose to listen |

Wow thanks for that. Great feedback/suggesions there. You have some very good ideas. I'll definitely be incorporating your tips into the next print to see how that comes out. Also, I forgot to mention that I had originally forgotten to insert his position in the company (eg: president, principal, etc) on the card. Thanks all. |

Why is all the edging ragged and looks like you cut it out with scissors? I think it looks a little dated – blue is so overused. Try an elegant bright white stock so that the client, if necessary, can write a quick additional mobile number on if required – won't show on the blue obviously. ANd wob out the text on solid blue blocks instead. |
