The first site seems rather boring to me. I can't put my finger on what you should do to necessarily change it though. It's just kind of bland.

Your hosting site is better, but your prices are ridiculous. I pay $6.95/month for the exact same details as what is listed on your website for $17.95/month.

I actually keep my prices up a bit because I do not want to take on too many accounts. I host enough for a good income, but am not looking for the hassle of more. I like to just own my own hosting so I can host the sites I build. Also people in my area like to host with someone local. Plus my servers and pipes are extremely fast.

First one may be boring but it's about a hundred times better than the second one -- crappy fonts, muddy colours and the diagonal lines are either too far apart or too prominent or too something. Go with the first one and work on it some more. Is my humble advice.
