Team building day

Alright there folks.

This is a job for a corporate team building film day. So targets would be office workers/admin, with the primary recipients being MD’s or their secretaries.

They wanted it to inspire, be fun yet have the professionalism/formality of a corporate document. He had some poorly composed shots of the days shoots that he is adamant I use within the document.

Also the filming caompany (who I am doing the job for) is not distributing these, they are using events comapies to do this, so he wanted it fairly ambiguous.

There are more pages, but just wanted to get some input on this direction.

Cheers.

Top stuff. The wavy line confuses the 'filming day' text a tad - you may want to reconsider the shape of it, but everything else works great.

Brilliant stuff - just one little thing: "thats" should be "that's" . Or maybe it looks better like it is.

Sorry, I'm a pedant.

All good. But I'd loose the istock watermark.
Doesn't quite fit with the theme.

Yeah these are just initial roughs so the image may even change and the final will be the purchased high res without the watermark.

What do you think about the concept of the lines? Does it seem feasable? Or is it transparent?

He just told you.

I like them, the swirling lines feel a bit flat though... perhaps fade them out a little according the their supposed distance from the camera.

TIRED OF PAINTBALL!??!?!?!?!? JEEZ.

I really like them, though, nice job. Although the line glow feels like it should scale according to how far away it is... you might want to make the glow it not all the same stroke size.

get rid of the glow lines.

they suit no purpose and they really wont appeal to the market your aiming for.

That is what I was thinking Fred, but was trying to push it out of my mind and just blag it. Thanks for your honesty mate.

I mean they serve a purpose to me in a layout sense, as it gives the document flexibilty and a little energy that keeps the layouts fluid, but...

...I am thinking it is bullshitting folks, especially with the combo of stock images...

It is just so fucking hard when he wants his shots in there. I am thinking the only way to go is too shoot some decently composed down to earth shots of the day (which may not be possible) and work with fresh colourful type/boxes with nice full bleed images...

Just really simple and non bullshitting... As we all know that team building can be bullshit.
