what do you think of these illustrations?

cheesy or cool? theyre for a band's website

im trying to get more into illustration

What quality of a JPEG is that? I can't tell if some of the stuff I'm seeing is compression artifacts or something else...

Yea it probably is compression. I saved out at Jpeg high but I might have done it twice on the same image

kinda reminds me of the minus the bear - menos el oso cover.
i think it's pretty good, the letters are far too close together tho. i like the colours alot

I really like the colors and the bottom image, although I agree that the letters are confusingly spaced. The top one has a bit of photoshop-hair-looking-look to it. The grunge is interesting because it's not always realistic (1px pencil brush), but it still works. That's cool.

very impressive.. like the blending effects youve applied there.. did you use standard filters that came with photoshop or did you add textures from somewhere else etc?

i gotta start learning how to do this stuff...
