General Thread

Tyring to design a logo for software co. called 'prism' , finding it difficult.
Come to the conclusion that every logo ever designed with a prism in, is shite.

eg : http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...go&sa=N&tab=wi

Any ideas welcome, if not feel free

yeah, its for a piece of software our company is making so will be in the software itself and the website.
I see what you mean though , its not gonna work in black and white for print is it.

Top left one is the first one you notice..it stands out loads more than the others. (and I don't think it's just because it's the biggest)
I quite ike the simplicity of the b&w one (bottom left) , but reminds me too much of pink Floyd.

Yep, top left is the one I reckon..quality.

I love the one middle-left, very well designed, and I love the colors...

Although the top row does catch the eye, I like the simplicity of bottom row-middle, and I think you could get creative with it if it ever needed to be B & W...

BTW, what are you charging for this logo work? Do you charge differently if they ask for multiple proofs, etc. etc.?

Not charging anything, its for an in-house piece of software we're making.

Well, nice work then...guess I wasn't paying attention. I am curious, besides batteries, about charges/pricing for logo work. I haven't done much work in that area, but I'm curious nonetheless.

When designing logos, I normally provide a few like this up to about 10 so theyre not overwhelmed.
Let them pick one or two that they like and develop them from there.
Just bill at your usual hourly rate.

depends if its a paid pitch or openshop. Normal fees applied.

unfortunately i havent achieved the status of being able to charge 40k for a gradient entity,
