mrdoob.com - holding page
Well, after working a little bit on the 3dengine I end up with something quite unique (I believe). By now I've to work on paid projects (and those things), but atleast I got a holdingpage-with-email-me-feature http://www.mrdoob.com I hope it doesn't burn too much your CPU |

Floating libation anyone?

It's great on my computer. I'd just suggest increasing the font, but it's not that big a deal for a placeholder page. Increase the size if you ever develop a full site, though, IMO. fun: HGC v.4 | last.fm: DT | me | oi! f*ck u roto: ...via meebo!

I think the type style suits the old skool vector / green screen look. Maybe just without all the extra flourishes on the sub-heading though? Also, the body text you added is a bit on the small size. BTW. Is dOOb supposed to look a bit like a face? Stand Free

Yeah! The background of mr.doob is this one: My real name is Ricardo Cabello, I came to London 3 years ago and on the company I was working I used to wear headphones for concentration. So I started to put faces like do_ob, or d=_=b, dO_ob, dO_ob... So one day a friend on MSN called me mr.doob, so I changed the name on msn to mr.doob cos I quite liked it. From this point, the people at work started to call me doob (mainly cos it's easier to pronaunce than Ricardo (for brits)). Silly? Maybe, but I like it |

hmm, I'd remove the text. You don't have to tell visitors there isn't more to the site than that one page. They will notice themselves eventually. This kind of reminds me of putting a "under construction" roadsign at your site. I think Design + Dev sums it up nicely. I'd remove the text and make the "Mr. doob" and the "Design and Dev" link to sending you a mail. Maybe add a tooltip saying "Contact me", or something, in Flash. Background effect is great, runs smoothly here too. |

Hah! that's funny, I had it exactly like that before. But some people told me that I better put a text saying what was going on. Ewww! Oh well, I think exactly like you, but I think I've spent enough time on it already. I better spend time on the content now Thanks everyone for the feedback! |

Well, didn't liked at all the previous design, so two (or maybe three) weeks ago I did a whole new style and web. http://mrdoob.com Which style do you prefer? |
