looks nice.

the text seems a bit small and I think flash was a bad idea but whatever.

some of the pages overlap the copyright notice.

Nice, clean & lush. The way a gaming site of class should be. "TM" this along with your tag line sir.

Good job.

I dig it.

Agree with sb on the Flash, of course, but it's nice from a design standpoint.

EDIT: There's an HTML version too it seems. It's fairly nice, but the nav is hard to read and...iframes?

Yeah I just found that too. Why iframes? Use DHTML instead.

i dont get the hate for flash, its really getting boring. its not going away, and provides a much more enjoyable experience for a showcase site than a css borefest. its obvious why flash was used.

http://www.manchester235.com/index2.html html version so you can all sleep at night

lovely work, the transitions could be smoother though. reminds me very much of sky broadband perhaps.

why is it's use obvious? and there's no hate here, I just think a full flash site was a bad idea in this case.

A reasonable site producer could have acheived so much more with a hybrid site (which would have meant most of the transitions could stay). I'm not on a standards or accessibility rant, it's basic usability.

On top of that the transitions are actually done poorly, the site feels clunky and responds far slower than I'd like to browse.

Because of the use of flash (instead of getting the most out of each technology by using it for what it does best) the site site owners have ended up with 2 ok sites rather than one excellent site.

but hey, as long as you enjoyed the showcase gray, a job well done.

ok.. thanks darling

agree that this isnt a perfect example of how to use flash, but that wasnt the point

http://www.chromazone-imaging.co.uk/ - i believe this is what they were trying to achieve, which does its job perfectly imo. css/xhtml/accessibility is great, but not always neccessary. full flash sites have just as much place when done well.

but design wise, box is very appealing
