another personal project I'm trying to get out the door this week.

just a prototype of a couple of pages, home page and blog link gives you an idea of an inner page.

no colour yet. layout alright?

prototype is only built for FF.

the text links at top right need some sort of hover, even if it's just an underline or slight change of colour, just something.
Can't wait to see it finished.

Georgia maybea little heavy on bold.

All caps as headers - not sure

The adverts / spotlights on left could be too small

Would be tempted to change the main column ( updates, issue etc)background colour.

Would put top level menu on same level as search.

Needs to be different to cake - looks the same - just a different stylesheet.

mik I agree about the georgia being too heavy, at least on the mac.

not sure about it looking like cake though. it's got three columns?
