Constructive criticism on my page layout?
Hey, I'd like some critique on this layout. I've been working on it for quite a while and am satisfied with it, but I'd like to hear some other people's ideas! It's a music review site for underground and local bands ![]() |

I cant say i like it very much im afraid. The design does the job, but from a designer perspective, it doesnt do it with any style at all. I'd recomend (some little changes at least): Move the shovel-note logo to the top left and budge the top banner across right, then move the nave up. Good luck with it |

The logo is awful. And since half the site is based on that awful logo, the awfulnes is being passed on. Get a better logo, then update the header. Get rid of the yellow arrows. Fix the margins in the content area (left right, should be even). Good luck. |

Whoa....Your colours are off, nothing looks like it fits right, it is also way too text heavy, even with theyour attempt of breaking up the content it just does not work. Personally I'd re-work from the ground up. The only thing I can constructively say is do a Google search for well known music bands (and check out vh1 and so forth also) and look at how they've layed out their site's. Even text heavy sites can be broken up in the right way. Also go to cssbeauty.com for more inspiration to get a different perspective away from the music style of websites, finally find/design/create something ELSE that you like instead mate as this belongs in the "Trash Bin" on your desktop unfortunately. It's hard to accept this kind of critism especially after putting in so much time and effort but seriously I'm not saying this to be mean. |
