personally id take out "online store" kinda states the fucking obvious if it were for an online store. Logos should be for identity, not for text shoved in to explain the brand. For example, the McDonalds logo - where does it say on there, "greasy burger shop". Or the yahoo or google logos, neither say "search engine" on the actual logo. That way you can center your own text between the two curve thingys, and it will look better. Try it, perhaps you will prefer it? Also, allows you to branch out from just "Online store" to perhaps streaming audio, video, free stuff, lyrics, etc? Other than that, looks good. The background for the logo is good - shame the text is kinda flat. If its called "audio glow" get the text to glow too - but not necesarily neon bright hi look at me and vomit, more like a nice web2.0 glowy/gradient effect |

doesn't work on any level really. You can't make up for the fact that it's disjointed and unbalanced by sticking some diagonal lines and a reflection in the mix. The actual mark doesn't fit at all - as people have said, online store bit is dodge, and the 2 bracket type things don't seem to have any palce there. Why not go down another route - if the site's going to have that (sorry) web 2.0 look, then make it a simple text-only logo, with some nice type glowing, or shining, some gradient going through it. All your elements are mixed up, looks ugly at the mo. |

Don't see what it has to do with an audio store? I reckon either make it a text only logo like pat said or make it have something to do with audio. Also you probably won't be able to go with diagonal lines, black background and reflection etc anyway cos it won't work as a logo on printed stuff. It looks to me more like a web ad for a company somewhere with some extra effects to make it cool. Maybe design the general purpose logo first? |
