Ongoing Critique: Lithium Apparel.

Making changes along the way. Looking for critique and help on design desicions.
Origins: My own apparel company selling trendy cloth to 18-26 ages

Started with: (idea was hte photo spot changes per each tab clicked)

Going with : due to I am liking the relation between lithium being clean modeled and that steelish look to it.

Thoughts and opinions welcome! Next up:content boxes unless this needs to be changed

What sort of clothes are you selling? This design would suit black T-shirt sci-fi stuff.

If you're selling trendy gear then this is the wrong way to go IMO.

I like the first one as a piece of sci-fi design but not for a trendy clothing boutique - if you get my drift.

The second one I just don't like at all.

Hope that helps.

Yeah its got a techy feel too much. I was thinking keeping the header shape, going back with a photo idea but "brushing" the sides giving a edgy look.

Heres a shirt we did for VW community

It's hard to get a feel for what type of demographic you are targetting without seeing samples of your work.

I think a couple of the best examples of sites that target 'youth' culture successfully and are worth checking out would be http://www.burton.com and http://www.threadless.com/ (maybe you will find some inspiration). They have lots of graphics showing people wearing/using their products. I think that works really well for them.

Think about what you want to accomplish/communicate on your homepage.

1. Your brand's name.
2. What you sell (show them).
3. Call to action 'buy this'.

I'd start by opening a new file and placing in the logo, a photo of the product, and 'buy' button on your canvas. Start with your focus and the rest will come naturally.

You probably couldn't go too far wrong with a grunge look if these are the sort of T's you're selling?

Sci-fi is a bit nerdy.
