Ongoing Critique: Lithium Apparel.
Making changes along the way. Looking for critique and help on design desicions. Origins: My own apparel company selling trendy cloth to 18-26 ages Started with: (idea was hte photo spot changes per each tab clicked) ![]() Going with : due to I am liking the relation between lithium being clean modeled and that steelish look to it. ![]() Thoughts and opinions welcome! Next up:content boxes unless this needs to be changed |

What sort of clothes are you selling? This design would suit black T-shirt sci-fi stuff. If you're selling trendy gear then this is the wrong way to go IMO. I like the first one as a piece of sci-fi design but not for a trendy clothing boutique - if you get my drift. The second one I just don't like at all. Hope that helps. Stand Free

It's hard to get a feel for what type of demographic you are targetting without seeing samples of your work. I think a couple of the best examples of sites that target 'youth' culture successfully and are worth checking out would be http://www.burton.com and http://www.threadless.com/ (maybe you will find some inspiration). They have lots of graphics showing people wearing/using their products. I think that works really well for them. Think about what you want to accomplish/communicate on your homepage. 1. Your brand's name. 2. What you sell (show them). 3. Call to action 'buy this'. I'd start by opening a new file and placing in the logo, a photo of the product, and 'buy' button on your canvas. Start with your focus and the rest will come naturally. |
