Listal homepage redesign
I would love to get feedback on this design I have been messing with for my site listal.com, new design : http://www.listal.com/listal/images/...s/homepage.jpg The main aim of the new design is to hopefully get more people interested in joining the site and highlight the key features. I will probably add more stuff below this screenshot such as the Recently added and New people on the current site. I would be interested in feedback on everything thing from the visuals to the wording and if you think the site seems appealing to join. |

It's definitely an improvement in some respects. However, I prefer the hard corners of the current version (that's just me). Overall, though, I think it's an improvement in the sense that you know more immediately what the site is about. |

it's a lot simpler than the old version which I like, but I'm with pgo - the hard corners work better mate. it's also a nice transitional change - lots of people completely scrap what they had before and do it again, but you have just changed certain bits so your customer base will recognise it as being consistent with your brand. |

Thanks, interesting that you both prefer the square corners. I guess with the rounded corners I am trying to make the site seem friendlier, more mainstream maybe, or it could be that also that I'm just bored of the old square corner design Edit : Here is a version with reduced corners : http://www.listal.com/listal/images/.../homepage3.jpg Last edited by Scan : 05-10-2006 at 23:10. |
