www.josephcolby.com <== Here is my website that I have been working on. I would really like some advice/commentary on what you like and dislike. I just started learnign about web design and am currently teaching myself (so by no means am I good).

Why does the design change to something completly different when I click certain links?

Well, as for the main design, I would quite like it if you changed the background (or got rid of) and made the main logo text look like something other then fuzzy MS Paintness?

And the main text box is oddly positioned...why the empty space on the right?

And this:

Forget adapting free webhosting templates. The flash is good but I'm guessing it's not yours - the template aint great - not that they ever are.

Read about design, type, HTML, CSS, Standards while you try to crearte something from scratch.

Or go and play in the fresh air.

It's all been said already, but lose the Flash intro. No one watches those things.

And that dated 90s "techy/glossy" look is just bad.

From the first 5 seconds of the flash! i thought, hmmm looks like its going to be a very smart site, however once viewing your home page after skip, i was to say hmmm.. a lil shocked!the top part isnt toooooooo bad,. but could use a little touching up! lol - one tip - loose the templates, in my opinion a design thats not great but is your own, is still a unique piece of art, a design thats not good and not your own is just plain offputting....
