As my incredibly annoying boss says - it needs more pizazz. Logo and some more navigation hints might be good.

Perhaps a marker for links...

like:

.link {background: url(nice-red-arrow.gif);padding:0 0 0 20px; display:block;} or summat?

First of all I'd add some navigation.
Then I would think about constraining it somehow.
The all white is a little bland. I would add some contrast to it.
And perhaps some visual trick, something unique.

I altered it slightly in photoshop.
Perhaps it would be nice to have the site's name across the page in the background in some nice, big font. Not the font I chose, it's horrible and it's just to show the basic idea.

Hmm, Transmogrify, now you've got me confused. Was that a sarcastic remark or a genuine compliment?

I know I don't want a background like that, but I added in navigation links at the top. How do they look?

Much better.

And I didn't mean you should use that background, but something similar, you know, to get a little contrast to it.

The footer isn't terribly apparent. That is to say, it feels really far down and separate from everything. I have a feeling people will miss it.

It feels a bit disjointed - like the margins and paddings are all over the place and some elements get way too much attention - i.e. "This entry was posted on 19th of August 2006 in "Life"." draws way too much attention for me.

The navigation tabs are fine, but I think they should have at least one curved corner each and they should line up with the left edge of that black box. Otherwise, they just feel like they've been tacked on to it.

Also, on the active state on those buttons, a scrollbar appears while the mouse button is depressed...don't really get that.

Anyway, overall, it's nice. Bloggish, simple, straightforward. Nothing revolutionary, but definitely not bad.
