FeedBack Please - Speed Dating Website

Company Name: Dating Blocks
URL: http://www.datingblocks.com
Server side: ASP.Net, MySql
IDE: Dreamweaver
Graphics: Flash, Fireworks, Istock, dreamstime

Hello all,
Let me start by saying please be brutally honest with your feed back, I am by no means a designer or artist.

I work as a consultant mostly in the J2EE/oracle/ibm arena and have little to no experience creating a brand, design principles, usability etc so any feedback would be very beneficial.

Answers specifically
1. If you were interested in going Speed Dating would you consider using our services.
2. Are there any major design flaws or things that I might have missed that would drive clients away?
3. If you could change 1 thing what would it be?

Thanks,
Marc

I think it's fine. It's nothing revolutionary or particularly unique, but it does the job.

1) I guess. I'm not interested in speed dating, though.
2) The glossy heading bars aren't very glossy. I'd look into fixing those. I'd up the body text size just a bit and increase the line height just a bit.
3) I'd change the font as mentioned above and to Tahoma or Lucida.

Good idea, too. I don't think I've seen a speed dating website before. Best of luck!

does the job - but wouldn't make me want to try it. Not got enough skin

Not a big fan of the 1px black border that outlines everthing - don't think its needed for the most part.

Thanks for the feed back,
I will increase the font size as mentioned and try changing the font family, I agree that its bit small and hard to read.

I would love to make the graphics more glossy or glassy but I need so major help can you point me to a good tutorial? (lol it took me so long to come up with what you see)

Thanks for the feedback about the black border - it does feel a little contained and cramped but not sure if I could change that without overhauling everything else as well.

Thanks,
Marc

As everybody said, the font could be better and I'd also recommend a new logo(the heart looks like clipart).
