What you think? Any advice

Prime Designs
Its my first post and I have just finished making my first site from scratch. Any advice or comments are appreciated.

There's no actual portfolio to be seen, so I guess you're just asking us to critique the design?

Here goes:

The logotype "grunge" font is a little bit dated - but more importantly, it conveys little of what you are about. Try something cleaner. Also the 3D effect on it cheapens it considerably.

The little brown floral decorations are a cool idea, but again the 3D effect looks cheap. Also they are too large and create a weird negative space around the top and bottom of the logo. Try sourcing some higher quality floral decorations from http://www.briarpress.com/ (click on 'cuts and caps')

Content is not centered on my screen.

The background image is too high contrast - it looks like it's vibrating on my screen.

There is a 1 pixel gap between the nav and the content.

You should pick 1 Logotype font, 1 Nav font, and 1 content font and stick to those. Pick them carefully and think about how they complement each other, interact with each other, etc.

Yep its the design of the site, sorry i never mentioned it.

I think you went a little crazy on the bevel of everything. Try and come up with a logo first, then have the design come to you.
