Bollocks - I haven't used DW in quite a while now, but there's nowt wrong with using it. In fact I'm doing a site at the moment that will use Contribute as a CMS so I'll be pouring it into DW to create templates soon.

To suggest that someone is less than professional for using it is just arrogance of the highest order - especially as you haven't demonstrate much yourself yet. You obviously think much higher of yourself than anyone else could!

It's biggest short coming is it's (unjustified) reputation among text based code purists (+ the admittedly squiffy code created by the uninitiated using design-view).

This site will be published without DW comments. I've never just used design view. I have a fairly good understanding of semantic and accessible HTML, everything is optimised, we make sure it works in Opera, FF, IE5/6, Netscape...

Your simplistic "Everyone who uses dreamweaver doesn't know how to code" spiel is naive and, to me, makes you look a little unprofessional. Look at most advertised web-design jobs - just about all require DW experience...

Why? because it is not just a WYSIWYG web pages made easy designers tool - it's an integrated development environment with very very powerful tools.

Your points are moot - all software has limitations - DW is the best tool in it's field. Credit where credit is due.

Seconded. Awesome software. Although, I suck at setting up templates and stuff, so I just do strict training where I work as far as Contribute goes. The website http://www.calvaryspringfield.org/blue will edited by our staff in Contribute. I hope it works out ok. I really don't want to have to template everything.

Just had a look there. There's a problem with heirarchy between the mission statement and the news section. I would increas the size of your opening paragraph, close up the leading slightly and drop the size of the line feed. That should sort it. imo

edit: and increase the size of the margins either side
