It's not good. But I have seen worse. We all had to start somewhere and if you only have one example of work to show and intend to form design into a business you will need to look into other ways to display your creativity. Strip back the elements of the design to the basics (as Narate said), text and photography. Present this in a basic, ledgible format and you could try and apply your unique style though imagery (until you have some work to show). See attachment.
