Just curious - do you live in Donegal? I'm from Belfast and have been in Rossnowlagh a few times. Nice spot of the world.

Oh, and make sure your page is valid XHTML. The floating text is a bit screwed up in IE as well. You are on the right track, just needs tightened up.

Where do you stay? do you have a house or a mobile home or something? Or do you stay at the sandhouse hotel?

Just stay in Bed & Breakfasts or go camping when in Donegal. Nice spot. Used to date a girl who had a house in Bundoran which is pretty close. Where ya from?

My Dad is from Monaghan and my mum is irish as well.. I was born in oxford though...

Look at other sites for inspiration. Think what your style is, and what do you want people to think of you. I also think you should do more work before doing your site. A portfolio isn't much with just one example. Eve if you don't have actual jobs to work on, do some make belive ones and practice. By then when you get to make your site, you will have more experience and might have more of an idea of what to do.

how bout going to http://www.coroflot.com and looking at peoples work and sites? That can help I think.

ok thanks! Do you mean for example try making a new logo for google and sticking that in? I mean not sending it to google of course :P
