I'm creating a flash site for a cartoonist. Here's what I have so far (the main colors swap out randomly upon load, so if you hit the reload button on your browser you'll get different orientations). Only the news section and the top navigation buttons have functionality, and there's no content yet.

I'd tone down the 'bounce' effect when you mouse over the sections.

It's a good start.
I'd add a scroll bar on that news section - or at least a repeated scroll on the up/down buttons i.e when the user clicks and holds the button the article scrolls.

I like it. Nice work so far... Id like to se some transition on the pages rather then just appearing. Would seem like somethings missing but if not, i like it so far.

I like it.....only thing I sort of am unsure about is it seems there may be too many different fonts for me. Otherwise nice simple layout I like it.

I agree with the toning down of the bounce effect...but it looks great!

The bouncing only gets annoying on the top navigation. I would just tone that down a little if possible.

I also happen to like dogs. You bastard.

I like the bouncy-ness! It's a cartoon site, so it's supposed to be a little crazy. As for making transitions between sections, that's obvious (just haven't gotten to it yet).

bender: are you talking about the top nav text or the cartoon cows? (BTW, those cows are placeholders)

The bouncy effect is well suited in my opinion, I'd exaggerate the "on the drawing table " etc titles somewhat more.

Nice starting point
