Feedback needed on corporate identity

Dear all,

A new corporate identity has been design for a well established group of hotels but there seems to be a misunderstanding on the proposed logo.
could your please tell us what you read on

http://www.eservices.mu/survey/survey.aspx
Vaiade Resorts
Naiade Resorts
Maiade Resorts
Waiade Resorts

Thank you

Vincent Rose

Vaiade Resorts .

I like it. Try and drop the bottom of the V futher or up the left arm of the curve-off. That may help. Two heads on the 'i'??

Honestly, I'd have trouble reading it. However, if I knew the name, then that's a logo I could recognize in a heartbeat.

I agree that dropping the bottom of the V would improve its legibility, but I fear it would throw off the balance of the two words.

Hey Hey!!! Really interesting all the posts, Yeah in fact as the client was a bit confused, we had to make a survey to be sure that it was confusing to all. Well now the graphic agency is proposing some derived proposals based on your comments.
they are working on something much less confusing, I'll post it once everything will be formally launched

Thank you very much
Vincent

Very nice, I like it....just amend the first letter so it's more obvious. It was a close call between a V and N for me.

If it is a V then why the first 'i' doesn't have a dot over it, therefore reads M to me.

I read it as Naiade Resorts because the huge swirl of the V is too large and combined with the other side of the logo, my focus was in the center which gave me the impression of the first letter being 'n'.

just my thoughts. maybe take down each side just a bit so you can keep balance and increase readibility.

It's gone, can you post it back up for the benefit of all us slow-ass occasional visitors?
