Welcome. You're site needs alot of work! Try sitting down with photoshop and designing a layout For inspiration, I'd have a look at http://www.cssbeauty.com/ Going by your mark-up, it looks to me like your using dreamweaver? I'd advice you to learn (x)html and css. Try checking out: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp Some guys on this site will point you in the direction of some other good css site's. Keep working on it! btw, I wouldn't display all my personal details on my site if I were you. Just my opinion. |

Err, judging from your opinion, looks like most of the DesignersTalk.com forum members emphasize more on CSS than image, right...? I've look into cssbeauty.com and their layout and design is really good... But, they're a commercial/formal websites, right? I mean, they have a news section and the others... So they could make their homepage layout like those and fill them up with news of their website... Back to my website, even if I make a layout, there wouldnt be anything to be filled in... Err, got my point? |

AWESOMMEEEE....... I never imagine that CSS would be able to make something like these... Oh, Do you recommend Dreamweaver as website-building tool...? Or is there another alternatives better than using Dreamweaver? |

I would recommend you to LEARN CSS and proper XHTML markup, and then code it in whatever program you like. I use Smultron. Would never even think about go near Dreamweaver for that .. but thats up to you, what you like and feel comfortable with. |

I think that you should take the cryptography concept further and use this as a base for your design/layout. I agree with ryannarts, sit down with Photoshop, after researching and drawing inspiration from what you think cryptography is. Why not make the site more like a puzzle to be solved by your visitors? Something to make your site unique that will give the visitor a reason to remember their visit or a reason to come back? |

On a graphical interpretation point of view. try thinking of yourself of what your style and approach is, and whatever comes in to your mind describing you. might as well put a theme on your personal website giving the identity that reflects you. just a suggestion |

If you want to see the power of CSS, check out the designs at www.csszengarden.com - they will blow you away. Fortunecity always adds its own crap ads. The reason you don't see them in FF (and I don't either) is because of the popup blocker. |

I agree. Upgraded to it from Notepad++ to dreamweaver studio 8. I must say, dreamweaver is nice. Wide-range of color-coding (helps to easily identify if you've typed something wrong, therefore saving tons of time), code-collapsing, tabs, direct connection to ftp server (my favorite), update links site-wide, quick views of css info for whatever tag your cursors are in, quick views of available specific CSS properties as you type. I suppose it's just hard for new users to ignore the design view, although I hear studio 8 does a pretty good job producing pages. |

Really? My uploads are usually done by the time I Alt-Tab to the page and hit refresh. But I will say, every once and a while there's a pointless hang up. |

"your first "x" sites will suck"... x is ten i think lol sit down with photoshop and plan out accurately what you are going to build :-) I used text-pad for css/html/php, always have, always will :-) on a plus note; its a bit different... something clients might like (clients have NO taste sometimes) |
