Football site

Hi peeps,

Wondered if you lot could take a look at HERE and let me know what you think. It takes "too" long to load (i know) which I'm going to sort.

Some people have already said that sometimes they can't access some of the pages from the navigation.. I think it maybe my actionscript is dodgy, but sometimes it works.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Cheers!

Looks pretty good to me.

A few things that I noticed:
-the site, especially the gallery and some other pages, look too unconstrained somehow. I would suggest using a different colored background comparing to the site or using a border round the content or something. That's just my opinion, though.

-secondly, the tag font you've used on most of the pages looks amateurish, I suggest looking here:

Some VERY nice and, more importantly, very free fonts

I would also reconsider the footballs in the navigation.
Plus the glowing, matrix green looks a little amateurish.

Other than that nice.

Thanks, yes the loading will be sorted at the end where I will compress it.

Does the navigation work for you at the top? Some people are having problems.

I'd have to agree with bender, the footballs in the navigation dont work for me as bitmaps. Something in vectors might be more appropriate. Also if you're anticipating a long load time (even after compression) the preloader could perhaps be more engaging. Maybe a little rotoscoped / looped animation of the little chap with the skills doing a trick or two. Other than that, some nice ideas here.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'll be making updates and ammendments next week.

Regarding the music, I'll be replacing that with something else. I put that in there temporarily until their music is sent to me.

Cheers.

Is it one huge flash file, or a master file that loads other smaller swf's into it on demand? Waiting for that to load put me off after around 40%, I couldn't be arsed any longer.

Oh right, I'll check on a few other computers to see if theres any bugs with the off button. I've only been learning flash for 6 months but every bit of advice is of help.

Cheers.
