Hello everyone. I'm still new at this, and hope to get better one day. I make homepage layouts for Quizilla so far. Please suggest if I should change anything, and tell me where i'm wrong. My layout site: http://www.freewebs.com/poisonruby/ My homepage: http://quizilla.com/users/poisonruby/ |

Hey, I don't know if I'm the only one who doesn't like it but changing my cursor really annoys me(except maybe for abbr or acronym tags). The code on your layout page is well, er, not very good. For starters, you don't even have an <html> tag. And the whole page doesn't do it for me. I guess it's not C.R.A.P. enough for me. And there's like a huge empty space at the bottom of the site. For your homepage, even though the design is somewhat better, the code isn't so great. Sure frames are accepted by the W3C, but a CSS-based layout for the site would be much better. Another thing is that I can't read a singe thing on the page. I swear, I really can't. And there's a problem with the Sharp~Crystals~of~My~Broken~Heart box; it goes over the box that's on the left. |

Thanks for the C.R.A.P. link, it's really useful. Oh, I really should get rid of the empty space, I put it there in attempts to fix it. But the layout is CSS-based...what do you mean? Thankf for the review I really appreciate it. |

You do use CSS, but there a lot of errors. For your menu, for example, you use a div for each link when you could just make an unordered list and it would be much better. And for the content, there are attributes like bgcolor that you can get rid of and tags like <font and <br> are useless. Like I said, you do use CSS, but you seem to mix it with that old school design and that's not good. |

You've obviously got a lot of ideas that you want to use... but be selective! I find the text is too hard to read... more contrast there I think, and look at making the layout more defined. Everything kind of melts together at the moment, due to the overriding use of one colour. And it's broken in FF. Don't be disheartened though... |
