Layout for a Hotel Website

Alright folks. All feedback appreciated.

Please bear in mind that the branding is out of my control and the photography is just a placeholder.

Cheers

bloomin' lovely.

only criticism I would make is to make the tabs and the secondary menu bar a similar height? maybe not?

no, really top notch.

nice... nothing wrong with that. Upmarket, aspirational look to it in keeping with the hotel I guess

I agree with this. Have you considered making the "Did You Know?" section into a sidebar?

Otherwise, it's lovely. Nice work. Classy. Bell at the bottom associated with the contact information is a nice touch.

Nice. Header graphic is a tad large though. Not sure if the average punter will have the screen res to display much of the copy. Also, background looks like it has varicose veins, perhaps a warmer colour would make the site more welcoming?

The only thing that jumps out at me is the difference in top and bottom padding (vertically aligned to middle) on the subnav items. But that's nitpicky and I'm a bitch that way. I would agree with subcircle as far as the background image goes, try that pattern straight across instead of whiting it out. Just a suggestion.

Otherwise, I love it.

I'd make the column width of the welcome to the alderley edge etc. line up with the graphic above and the tab above that. If you see what I mean.
Nice though. Really like it.

Good call on the column width, and taking the image cutout down to a smaller, white version.

I'm lovin' it more and more. (No, that wasn't supposed to be a mcdonalds reference).
