Recent work

Have just made a new site and would be grateful if anyone could provide me with some constructive criticism:

http://www.pixelsquare.co.uk/

Cheers

Mike

looks like a hosting site - doesn't support your assertion that you're innovative. The search box, the gel-ish icons - doesn't suggest innovation or creativity, just bog standard. Sorry.

agree with Pat... nothing seems to fit - just disparate elements thrown together without much thought is what it says to me.

Maybe some nice touches but overall a bit of a mess. Not back to the drawing board by any means but certainly in need of a load more work.

Again... sorry

agree completely with what pat said. feels like it lacks layout, design and focus, and indeed looks like a hosting company. code is fine, but your headers are unsemantic and your h1 should really say more than welcome. all apologises.

"Damn we forgot to put our contact details on every page!"

"Don't worry we can put them in up here. No one will know."

It does look awfully thrown together. How do you intend to sell yourself as a web development company with no websites in your portfolio?

Icons - even if they're custom made - look very much like every stock icon ever created. Very anonymous and impersonal. Fine for a CMS or something, but not for a public website.

Glad you care about your code - it shows initiative and foresight. However, the markup could be a lot better. For instance, try making your navigation into a list instead of just a bunch of links.

The rounded search bar touching to the green bothers me. That whole top area just bothers me.

For a web design company? It screamed "hosting" to me as well.
