website portfolio critique!

Hi,

Today im feeling particularly brave, so thought id put my new site up here for pulling apart. I'm pretty pleased with it from a design and coding point of view and have had good feedback from friends but not so good with design / css sites.

The site is: http://www.fakefrench.com

Bearing in mind this isn't our fulltime jobs and its purpose is purely to display the kind of thing we can do (as opposed to trying to actively get work), it's more like an arty outlet for doing fun freelance projects for bands, labels, venues, recording studios and the like.

Your thoughts are most welcome, thanks!

I quite like it, but i'd replace the deer/floral stuff in the header with something better and use a different font for ya headings :P

I like it a lot. Got a bit of the trendy bug, but that's OK I guess. Because I like it.

How much do you charge for "general schmoozing"? Also, your client login area - what's back there?

I really like it, but i'm not keen on that deer, its a cliche and the dotty effect doesn't fit with the theme of the site.
Cute little keyboard too

Thanks!

General schmoozing is usually charged at one beer per hour. Although for high profile clients it can often go upto 2 beers per hour, although usually we have to pay

PGO: All the web clients are in a db, including the admin urls for their sites so basically its a login for all the various admin areas on their respective sites. After authenticating the login the db makes a log of who has logged in, if they were succesful or not and then forwards them onto the appropriate admin area... It sounds long winded but its much simpler and easier to monitor than having lots of small login pages.
