Bit of an update

http://www.2605.co.uk/

I've changed the layout slightly, and added some new work. Looking for a bit of critique on both, know it won't be alot of people's cup of tea.

Also, if anyone knows of any work similar to the stuff on the Balloons page, pray tell. I have to have back up "inspiration" for my art project, so any design/illustration/art with balloons, with letters cut out of other shapes, with black and white photography doing itneresting things - i'd be grateful to know.

don't like the black out hover.
b&w genrally works for me.
otherwise it was enjoyable if a little thin.
the front page text is hugely wide, or is that deliberate?
is hard to criticise when is another man's art.
what about some text?

What about going for a horizontal scroll on the artworks pages, and give them a bit of room to breathe?

I'd prefer the splash image to be smaller, and readable without scrolling.

It's very simple, and it's nice. I don't like the blackout links either, and the entrance page is a little unneccessary, is it not?

I'm not too bothered, it's more of a muck around base for me. If i feel like it, i'll change that front page every few weeks to whatever scraps or words i've got in my head or in my scanner at that moment.

I've added a bit more content (inspiration links - gave DT one)

Oh, sorry if I came across as negative. It's your domain, you have free reign. You should be able to do what you feel like, without persecution from others. Just wondering about it I guess.

Nah no probs, i sounded blase there, didn't mean to. I hate useless splash pages as much as the next man, but i reckon it serves a creative purpose here, if only to look arty farty.

i'd prefer not havning to go "back" to nav. all your inspirations leave nav on left while viewing work. felt like so much less work when viewing. and you could eliminate scrolling by doing a "previous - next" sort of thing.
