Design Deconstruct

http://www.designdeconstruct.com/ (Work in progress)

I'm aware of some problems in IE (rhs bar) and some copy needs checking but other criticisms are welcome.

Essentially, it's a team review site. You'll get the picture.

It's meant to be a liquid layout so yell if it doesn't work. Of course more content will be in there soon.

Many thanks.

you can't stretch images like that cuban council one. it looks proper shite and does the orignal no justice what so ever.

also, your pull-quote is incredibly hard to contextualise - it makes no sense in relation to the rest of the page's content. 'all of these aspects..' you don't have to quote exactly from the text, add what all these aspects are to the quote itself. pull-quotes are there to entice you to read the full text.

I'll sort out the stretchy image thing.

Many thanks for the tip on my pull-outs - I never thought of changing the text to be in context. I'm having an off day, obviously!

i like the header, it looked nice before the image loaded very pixelated :S

I don't like how the design deconstruct thing is all the way on the right. I have my browser windows wide and it is annoying. But also I don't like the type in that section for some reason.

I like this. It doesn't look so great on 1280x1024, though. Too wide/hard to read. I'd reduce the width - or at least give it a max-width for non-IE browsers.

I like the site, like the idea, and I'm looking forward to reading more reviews. My only comment is that the "speak" form on the left hand side seems kind of out of place and disconnected from the rest of the site. Took me a while to figure out what it was for. Also - if you insist on keeping it there, some kind of differentiation between search and speak would be nice. At a glance it looks like they're part of the same form.

This comes from a guy with 1920 x 1200 in Firefox, but I tried shrinking the window and felt the same way.
