Hi guys

Started a WIP a few days ago.

It's just the .PNG file in Fireworks, not exported yet, no content. I have been meddling with graphic design for a few years now and it never ceases to confuse me. It's it so extremly opinion-based that a simple clean design might seem like a master peice to one person while a complete peice of crap to another. Anyway, for this one I want 100% honest opinions. Notice how I didn't exactly say "How can I improve it"? I've asked a few close friends about this design already and got comments like "Well if you changed this colour to this colour then I'd like it..." and just over-all lame commerns like "well it isn't bad...". Sure they weren't cruel comments, but they sounded like they were hiding something. That just doesn't work for me. So I just wanna know: Don't be afraid to just say "It sucks shit. Here's why:". I'm at the point in my my life where I need to actually be self-conscious about my work and really know whether it's good enough to land me in a college or attract clients. So hit or miss?

Its promising, Id like to see your work to see if it ties in with that.
The style suggests an illustrator / cartoonist but thats not what you do by the looks of things.

The thing that stands out is the helvetica type at the bottom - its a different style and doesnt seem to work with the rest of it.
