Not bad mate. Perhaps you could make better use of the blue? Do you need the paint splashes in the middle where the text is? Makes it hard to read in areas.

yea blue was the thing that bothered me, maybe use it to highlight the text instead of the microphone. Also i would find a different font for 'bring your.." and the other two lines below it.Maybe even just making the splashes blue and the mic white might work better. Also i'd take out the dj to the right, too small. Finally i dont like how you have a thick stroke around all of the text, maybe a better text treatment would help? Looks good though, good start.

not bad - agree with comment above - the text outlined over the paint blobs is a bit wank.
