How many pieces?
Hi everyone, I just wanted receive feedbacks about the duration of visits and some advices to increase them. I want to keep it in simple and easy-to-browse concept, but also It should be more interesting and proper to the material. What would you advice me to add, edit or chance? I know thumbnails might work better than text links but what else? thanks a lot. www.totuk.com |

Ok - I'll be nice. The Code Your using "old style" coding and what on earth is up with the JavaScript and 3-liner CSS in the same page? The Solution Re-build, before its too late! Colours and background for starters just do not work plain and simple. I don't get it - some of your stuff "inside the site" is good, but the site???...Flip! What happened? Note: pgo, finbarr, Max h - stay away! Do not polute your eyes! At your own risk! |

the site doesnt look good at all esp. the homepage which is the first thing people see. Its a shame because some of your stuff is very accomplished. the code is awful but thats besides the point... the dark grey I guess is supposed to set off the images but it doesnt at all. Opening up images in a new window is annoying so you should avoid it if you can. (look here if you want a way to do it - just nick the code etc if you want). If I were you I'd just keep the site plain white... you dont require anything special with this type of artwork but a better colour than grey if you want to add colour. And on the homepage show your favourite piece - even if its only a detail pm me if you have any questions |

Also, as far as the site in question... I felt a little lost when I first arrived. I don't care so much about the code since that's not what people are going to stay/leave for. The design is so simple and dare I say bland that I had little desire to see what lay deeper in the site. Some of the navigation choices didn't make sense to me. "Sequentials"? Most people aren't going to know what that's about. Keep it simple: "Portfolio". Then have subcategories below that if you like. You've got some great illustrations in there - shame the site doesn't do them justice. |

Hey all thanks a lot for your time. I didn't really mind about coding kind of stuff. I just made a template and adjusted a nicked java scrip for scrolling the inner frame. I don’t really know what’s wrong to put Java and CSS in the same page. Although, if it works it works, that’s the prior thing. On the other hand, I know that design needs more work and embellishment. Hence I'm here and seeking for a useful idea. Okay let's say simplicity is too much and it doesn’t make balance with the effort on my art. Perhaps I should start with enlarging the inner frame and embed a larger image. Then navigation will follow. Or I should just throw it in a bin and make a new one. Cheers |
