what do you think?

just finished a concept design, and wanted to see what people's opinions were - like it, dislike it, absolutely think its the biggest pile of shite you've ever seen??

not sure about the film strips. it doesn't really suit the music or digital theme.

maybe need to use the blue or red in the artists names too rather going greyscale.

yeh, good call on the header colours - I'll give that a try.

I know the filmstrip theme doesn't quite fit, but I'll most prob' leave those as I like the look - I would have used a entries pass if it hadn' just seen it used in previous brit awards merchandise.

I like the layout. not too bothered by the filmstrip.

I like the border concept but the implementation needs more work. The brushed border is too basic and repetitive, and it's clear to see you've used the same photoshop brush.

cool, thanks for the comments guys!

yeh, I wasn't sure about the brush stroke border - 1st time I think I've ever used the brush stroke like that... all I know is it quite good fun! Is there a secret to it? should I used varying brushes?

Gotta agree with Mik about the diagonals - they're headache inducing + tired.

I did actually notice the film-strips looking out of place before reading any of the other comments, don't really think they add anything.

Like the borders

lol.

on another note, anyone recommend a good way to stretch/distort text along the ribbon attached to the pass in this image. I've used liquify before, but find it's not so accurate. any suggestions?

Text to path tool and distort would probably do the trick.
