feedback on redesign appreciated...

Hi,

i'm redesigning my site, it's still in progress but I would like to get some feedback on it so far.
comments on the following appreciated:

-accessibility
-design
-layout
-download speed (particularly on dial ups - it could be quite heavy!!)
-general usability and feel

i know there are some issues in early Mac browsers which i'm still considering whether or not to support any longer, namely IE5.2 and SAFARI1.0.3.

thanks.

here's the link to the site in progress

Sorry, but it doesn`t do anything for me. too much going on, too many cliched design 'additions', no visual consistency between elements or areas and I dont think parma voilet is a very attractive clour scheme.

Sorry to be harsh, but i`m sure you can take it

agreed - too much of that same blue background texture, too many diagonal lines everywhere, no colour consistency

I don't have a problem with the design apart from the constant unending use of pastel blue and slightly dodgy flash headers.

On the plus side your coding seems very good - no one cares about Mac IE users anymore so dont worry about that.

hi,
thanks for the feedback so far.
that's what i needed really, i too was starting to think that there's too much going on.
maybe if i keep the layout but alter some of the graphics including perhaps just getting rid of the background graphic??

i'll play around and post another mock.
any other ideas much appreciated.

cheers

some of those flash headers are screaming cliches - & why a tv ? - the only flash header i like is the one in the work section which is alot simpler and pulls it together better.

ok thanks for those comments.
you're right about the flash headers too they are pretty corny.
i'm going to take it down for now and will have another look at it.
i'll post again in a while.

cheers for all the quick replies...this forum is pretty busy!
