Review, please www.dogcatec.com
Soon we are going to open a new store selling pet supplies, veterinary supplies and vaccines, pet medications etc. We tried to make a proper design for this store, something close to veterinary subjects and at the same time unique and attractive. Could you, please, review it before we open a store? It’s http://www.dogcatetc.com/ Last edited by ystoredesign : 23-09-2005 at 05:05. |

I think you'll do well. Think the dsesign is sound - considering the target audience. The IA is good and the content is excellent - plenty for SE spiders to get their teeth into. I'd of not used tables, but then you've probably heard that already. The only thing that baffels me is your choice of domain name and the yahoo favicon... Why? (added: like emil - I too think you must change your domain, added: yahoo store = yahoo favicon - gotcha) |

Information overload but I get the feeling that's the look you were going for anyway. Shopping basket icon is a bit fuzzy and the buttons accross the top a bit lacklustre. Apart from that it's good for what it is and I'm sure people would use it. |

nailed it, that's exactly what I think is wrong too. how about having a large photograph at the top of the middle column of a special offer, or featured product, just to catch the users eye on first glance at the site? |

maybe give the lhs bar some sort of a darker tint to make seperate it from the main content? the same could be said about the rhs column. images like top-title-dots.gif and title-dots.gif are really not needed. (the bg should go over the title imo). might unclutter things a bit... the overload of detail is not really in style with yahoo *corporate look* - but maybe it doesnt have ...
