Blessed Union
www.blessedunion.co.uk Go easy, I'm no graphics guy. Just a nice (I think) little site that took 1/2 a day. |

I like the layout and format of the site. Having the information on each page is a good way to avoid needing a further 'contacts' page but it is sometime still a good idea to include one. My only quarrel with the design is the amount of whitespace. I understand that the site is for wedding decor and the obvious design would be that of purity and white is the way to go about doing that. It may just be that the content has not been fully uploaded on the site yet, like the portfolio page. Good overall design though, impressed. |

ok, granted. At home I forgot I was looking at the site on a 21inch display of around 1280px by 1024 or whatever it is... (my head is a bit messed up after an extremely boring lecture on XML...) Here at Uni on a 1024 by 768 we are not looking at 'too much' whitespace. Infact, it looks very good. I forgot what resolution I was running and in my case back at home, it was a bit over powering but here you are quite right. Withdraw my last post |

I don't think having white either side of the design is counted as 'whitespace' is it? I'd count whitespace as space between elements of a site. ZenElements, if you care to post a screenshot at 1280x1024 then that would able me to see it. |

Another thing I just thought of. The body text (if you can call it that) seems too black. Everything else is soft, but that text is hard. Maybe soften it to #333 or something. It's a bit harsh as is. Also maybe a font change? How about some custom bullets? What I'm getting at is that the body text looks like my browser's default. I'd spend a bit of time on it - getting it a bit more delicate feeling. |
