Monsta - Just a bit of fun
Hello everyone Just wanted to share a new bit of on-line fun with all you creative types. I had the idea tonight and spent the last 3 hours making it. It is by no means a work of art, and the scripting is probably about as good as bag of lemons, but who cares. Its just a bit of fun. I would really appreciate it if you could submit a monster. Let me know if you spot any mistakes or if you have any recommendations for the development of the site. Cheers Tom Judd Remember, have some fun! http://www.50up.co.uk/monsta |

You should do more segments for this "exquisite corpse". |

Thanks guys Does any one have any suggestions on how to setup the body parts bit of the site. At the moment it is tricky to get the parts to line up nicely. Is there any way of codeing the scroll bars so that the move in blocks of 200px? |

I imagine there is. I'd try to find a method that doesn't use such ugly/default scrollbars. But don't use the IE-only CSS for scrollbar styles. Even avoid scrollbars if there's a way. There's bound to be some JavaScript out there. |

Yeah. I would've thought it'd be better if you could have the box and dynamically load em in via PHP or some shizwiz. Easier to update too. That probably didn't make any sense whatsoever but that's because I'm no codemonkey. Visually, It might be nice to have each section with a left and right button either side and the image flicks between different ones... A simpler way might be to use frames(eek) and load each pic on a different page... |

I have had a go using some js. It seems to work ok on safari and firefox but my ie does'nt seem to like it one bit. It is much more usable than the scroll bar system. Just need to find a better way of implementing it into the site. |
