quick check please
Can some of you have a quick browse around this site please... www. adcomtec.co.uk/home/ I'm still waiting on lots of content but last night at home weird things were happening. Stylesheets were being displayed instead of the page and images were displaying where they shouldn't - the arrow bullets were huge and displayed in place of headers, all kinds of odd things. I pinned it down to the javascript being used to create the multi columns on the product pages - www. adcomtec.co.uk/products/actuators/ekr-ring-main/ It's working fine again at work though so I'm thinking it's some kind of odd caching problem. Can you let me know if anything odd happens. Comments on the design are always welcome. The logo isn't ours but they insisted on using it as is. URLS disabled to stop referals. The contact page and actual site root will look different as the whole site isn't live yet. |

Like it. The complexity is nicely hidden by it's simplicity, if you know what I mean. When I clicked on the contact link all other links dissapeared - and did not return when I clicked home? (FF on XP sp2). The only other criticism would be the quality of image text for the banner - fuzz around your lettering - IMO you have over compromised quality for image size. And maybe one more color to contrast and highlight in places? |

Also having problems with the Contact Us page (FF, XP). I agree with what Limbo said that the quality of the images in the header/navigation take away from the look of the site. I'd up the compression rates if I were you. Looks good, overall. |

Always like your stuff and this is no exception Only things i'd suggest would be... Cut out the "Specialists in Hydraulic Components" byline, save it as a gif and place it above the header graphic. Let the shadow carry on over the grey thingy at the top... love the way fades out/in in the middle but the stop seems too abrupt at the top. Oh, somethings not right about the grey bar at the bottom too - although the background shadow is consistent there it seems not to be because of the bar... maybe a lighter shade or a fade either side? |

Does it do that for anyone else? You use Safari don't you? The breadcrumbs are styled 'text-transform: capitalize'. I wonder if there's a bug when using an apostrophe. I'll look into it. I'll sort the scroll bar too. Cheers. Re: The contact page Quote:
www. adcomtec.co.uk/home/ is a fake home page until the site is finished. At the moment users can only see the real home page (just an interim page) and the contact page. They can't see the other navigation options. hope that makes sense. Marc - The bottom of the page is a bit of an after thought atm. It needs working on. And the header images. I'll try upping the compression. |
